India

10 DAYS
(Minimum 4 participants)

Some people fall in love with a culture or a place first by falling in love with its food.

Picture yourself seated before your meal. There are no plates, no forks, and no knives. Instead, laid out before you is a fresh vazhaillai (plantain leaf) as large as a place mat.
The top half of your shiny green “plate” is lined with a neat row of fruit chutney, yogurt, curries and dal. These are to be eaten with the different types of rice served on the lower half of the leave.

Imagine a bite of the sweet and savory mango chutney, followed by a mouthful of curry laced with chili, then a cool gulp of yogurt as it slides down your throat.
With such a feast, you will not be able to resist the attraction of South India. At least your taste buds won’t.
